Unit 1 Assignment: Assess Your Assertiveness
In order to work effectively in a group, it is important to know whatskills you and others bring to the team. In this Assignment you willdetermine one skill that can be useful for contributing ideas and movingthe members of a team forward towards a goal.
When working with a group of people, how assertive are you? Take theAssertiveness Assessment Form 9.1 in the textbook on page 229 (SEE ATTACHED).
Assertiveness:
Choose the best-fit response for each of the four questions in theassessment. Once you have chosen one response per question, support yourchoices with real-world experiences either from the workplace or othergroup-related situations.
The paper should be 2–3 pages in length, not including the title and reference pages. Use the current edition APA format, and citation style.

- Complete the Assertiveness Assessment.
- Demonstrate your degree of empathy with the positions provided in the four questions. Explain.
- Describe how you, as a leader, address issues in an assertive,responsible, and focused manner. Provide examples from your real-lifeexperiences supporting your response.
- Describe where you might be able to improve your assertiveness.Provide examples from your real-life experiences to support yourassertion.
